It's been nearly two years since Ohio State welcomed fans back to a full capacity as the world fights the global COVID-19 pandemic and some things have changed, while some traditions will never budge.

Fans will see the Best Damn Band in the Land this season. The "i" will be dotted and the school song – do you know the words? – will be sung.

And if you have Buckeye tickets, you won't miss a thing. And even if you don't, you can always watch on television or follow the Dispatch's Ohio State football reporters.

But if you are going to Ohio Stadium to see the Buckeyes play football this season, here's what you should know.

Yes, Ohio State athletics has an app

The Ohio State Football app is available on Apple App Store and Google Play.

It includes information about Ohio State athletic events and allows ticket management and even allows you to manage concessions. It also includes maps of the stadium.

How to get Ohio State Buckeye football tickets?

Ticket prices can fluctuate during the season if you're buying single-game tickets, which are available to purchase on the Ohio State athletics website.

Tickets prices usually start at the $100, depending availability and matchup, and can go for more.

For instance, seats in the top level of the stadium for the 2021 home opener against Oregon were being sold by the Ohio State website for as cheap as $124.

For single-game tickets, prices are as followed:

  • Oregon: $160 reserved, $185 box/club
  • Tulsa: $63 reserved, $88 box/club
  • Akron: $66 reserved, $91 box/club
  • Purdue: $90 reserved, $115 box/club

How much do Ohio State football season tickets cost?

To become an Ohio State season ticket holder, the prices are, according to the Ohio State website, $702 plus a payment of $1,500 to the Buckeye Club membership per pair of seats.

That doesn't include student season tickets, which are much cheaper. And a season ticket package is available for faculty and staff.

There are several other ticket packages for Ohio State tickets, including "Flex Pass," "Blitz Package" and "Rush Package."

Ohio State faculty and staff also are eligible to apply for two full season home games or two non-conference game packages each season.

Can you buy and sell tickets on Stubhub?

Like most events these days, Ohio State football tickets are available on Stubhub and other third-party ticket sellers.

Can I buy alcohol at Ohio Stadium?

Yes. Alcohol is available at Ohio Stadium.

Fans can only purchase two alcoholic drinks at a time and can not bring them into the stadium. Alcohol sales end after the third quarter.

Game day parking rate for CampusParc is $20. No cash is being accepted.

Here are some other things to know:

  • Cashless Parking: All day-of-game lots and garages will be cashless beginning this season. Only credit cards will be accepted. The day-of-game parking rate is $20 and is payable upon arrival on game days.
  • Take a Shuttle: Park on West Campus (including parking lots west of SR 315) and hop on a free shuttle that picks up in Carmack Lot 1 and drops off at the John Herrick Drive Transit Hub, which is just a short walk away from Ohio Stadium.
  • Touchless Permits: All athletics permit holders will display their parking passes via their phones. Please have your digital pass ready to display to traffic officers and parking attendants on game days.
  • Scan Your QR Code: CampusParc annual permit holders must scan their access keycard or QR code upon arrival to all day-of-game lots and garages.

More game day parking information:

  • Game day surface lots and garages only accept credit cards  no cash will be accepted.
  • Re-entry is not permitted.
  • Any purchased, current annual CampusParc parking permit will be honored in day-of-game lots at no charge with the presentation of a valid access keycard or QR code. Beginning at 5 a.m. on game days, keycards or QR codes must be scanned by an attendant for entry to both surface lots and garages.
  • Day-of-game parking tickets may be required for exiting the garage. Failure to present the ticket at exit may result in additional fees.
  • Day-of-game customers should exit parking facilities no later than 10 a.m. on the Sunday following a game day.

How to tailgate for Ohio State football

Here are the tailgating rules according to CampusParc:

  • All parking facilities, regardless of designation, become available at 5 a.m. the day of the game on a first come, first served basis. Any placement of tailgating equipment is prohibited prior to 5 a.m.
  • Guests without an athletics parking permit who are interested in setting up a tailgate should plan to set up those tailgates in any game day parking lot (see map).
  • Vehicles and tailgates must fit within the 8.5' x 15' space provided. Parking spaces are intended for parking one motor vehicle in one space. Additional spaces may not be purchased, reserved, or otherwise used for tailgating. Saving spaces is not permitted.
  • Trailers, storage units, and tailgating activities may not take up vacant parking spaces or interfere with traffic flow within a parking facility.
  • Drive lanes in parking facilities must be maintained at all times.
  • Parking permit/ticket holders are responsible for the functions they host in their parking spaces. Any vehicles larger than the aforementioned space size should be parked in the RV parking lot or at the Ohio State Fair.
  • Please observe and obey the parking attendants when parking your vehicle.
